Rose Garden: The historical highlight of Hershey Gardens , this is where it all began in 1937. These original roses were hand-planted by Milton Hershey's gardeners. Compare varieties and enjoy the fragrances of 7,000 gorgeous roses, consisting of 275 varieties.
Seasonal Display Garden: Arguably the most spectacular display in the Gardens, it is a favorite of repeat visitors. The springtime gladly welcomes 100 varieties of 30,000 tulips, the summer boasts colorful annuals and the fall features chrysanthemums from deep red to sun-drenched yellow.
Memorial Garden: The five flags of the U.S. Armed Forces decorate this area dedicated to the men and women who preserve America's freedom.
Perennial Garden: Surround yourself in the spring and summer with amazing displays of spring daffodils, rhododendrons, summer coneflowers, black-eyed susans and joe-pye weed. In the fall, walk among the ornamental grasses and bold-colored chrysanthemums.
Herb Garden: New for 2005!The new herb garden, lovingly re-designed by Hershey Gardens renowned gardening staff will be a sight to see, smell and feel! Fully blooming by late June, the updated garden will be categorized according to their uses: medicinal, aromatic, household, culinary and dye-making plants. Kids will love it too!
Mrs. Hershey's Rose Garden: Planted in 1907 at Milton and Catherine Hershey's High Point Mansion, this lovely garden proudly contains Old Garden Roses that Mrs. Hershey grew.
Rock Garden: This interesting garden landscape features large rocks as they mingle with dwarf evergreens, dogwoods, Japanese maples and English and American holly.
Arboretum: Surround yourself with trees such as horsechestnuts, Persian parrotia, bald cypress, beech, hemlocks and fragrant snowbell as they adorn this shady garden.
Ornamental Grasses: Enjoy many varieties of these decorative and hardy plants from short fescues to giant reed grasses. A garden favorite!
Japanese Garden: Take some time to enjoy the relaxing gurgling stream and tranquil reflective pond. This peaceful garden features rare giant sequoias and dawn redwood trees.
The Bill Bowman Garden: Lovingly dedicated to a former Hershey Gardens director, this beautiful garden features a magnificent bronze sculpture and an open lawn area.
Oak Grove: Mighty oaks provide a quiet place to rest and watch the squirrels do all the work!
The Children's Garden: The newest addition to Hershey Gardens , this amazing educational garden is filled with surprise hideaways, creatures and whimsical characters - all within 30 themed gardens. The whole family will love it!
The Butterfly House: Our most popular attraction! Explore the wonders of butterflies as you observe and learn about their lifecycle from egg to adult butterfly. Walk amid 300 North American butterflies, as they flutter amongst their host and nectar plants.
